Today I taught the first week of “Visualizing Information: Dynamic Data Models”. The first project for students is to collect data from multiple sources as visualize them as static data visualizations. We did an activity for them to explore ways of collecting their own personal data. I’m going join them by collecting data of my own.
I’m going to use the Crimpd app to collect data about my rock climbing exercises. I’ll also track the number of hours I spend on my phone. Maybe I can update one of the web apps from NodeJS so I can easily do this on a phone web browser.
